Welcome to our blog! This blog will follow Amanda and I's adventure from now up to our departure in April, through our two months of training and the two years of service that follow. On April 7th we start our pre-departure orientation staging in Philadelphia. A day later we leave for Botswana and two months of pre-service training (4/09/2010 - 6/09/2010). Amanda's job title is NGO (non-governmental organization) Capacity Builder and my job title is Community Capacity Builder. We will both be working closely with HIV/AIDS programs on the grassroots level. As of right now our job titles are very general and we we have no idea where exactly we will be in Botswana. We will not learn all of the details until toward the end of training. With such late notice we have been very busy getting all of the details ironed out. We will be sure and keep this blog updated with more information as we get it. Be sure to keep checking back.
